     Yester, Jim (24th November 1939-Present)

Born in Birmingham, Alabama, he is a musician and vocalist who plays rhythm guitar and keyboards, and is the younger brother of the guitarist/singer Jerry Yester.  He was a former member of the Modern Folk Quartet and joined the group The Association in 1965 after having been recruited by Jules Alexander.  He received a Grammy nomination for his music for the film Goodbye Columbus.  He left The Association in 1983 after returning to them in 1979 after their hiatus.  In the 1990s he joined his brother in the reunited Lovin' Spoonful, and later joined up with two other artists to form YBS who call themselves "the three tenors of rock".
