Bassist from
Minsk who was a member of the Leningrad Chamber Orchestra from 1984 until
1988 and the Haifa Symphony Orchestra from 1990 until 2000. Other groups with whom he has worked
include the Netherlands Radio Chamber Philharmonic, the Netherlands Radio
Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Netherlands Radio Symphony Orchestra.
On 21st
December 2002, the Netherlands Radio Symphony Orchestra and Groot Omroepkoor rang in the
holidays with Roel van Oosten’s
“Quatre Noels Anciens”,
Arvo Part’s “Cantus in memory of
Benjamin Britten”, Alexandre Tansman’s oratorio, Isaie, le Prophete, and Ralph Vaughan
William’s “Fantasia on Christmas Carols”.
The
Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra and pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet offered up Camille Saint-Saens’ “Concert
voor piano en orkest
nr. 5 op. 103 in F”, sandwiched between Sergei Prokofiev’s “Egyptische Nachten, suite op.
61” and Igor Stravinsky’s Petroesjka, on 26th
October 2007.
On 13th
December 2008, they teamed up with Groot Omroepkoor and honoured the
Advent with their rendition of Mauricio Kagel’s
Sankt-Bach-Passion. They performed Johann Sebastian Bach’s
“Derde orkestsuite
in D BWV 1068”, Joonas Kokkonen’s
“…durch einen
Spiegel…”, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s
“Pianoconcert nr. 24 KV 491” with
pianist Olli Mustonen, and Olli Mustonen’s “Tripelconcert
voor drie violen en orkest” with
violinists Pekka Kuusisto,
Elisabeth Perry and Candida Thompson on 20th December 2008.
On 6th
June 2009, they reunited with Groot Omroepkoor at the Holland Festival for a concert of Hendrik Andriessen’s “Ricercare”, Louis Andriessen’s
“Nocturnen”, and Stravinsky’s Canticum sacrum ad honorem
Sancti Marci nominis and “Greeting
Prelude”. Those two
groups added the Nationaal Kinderkoor
to their ranks for a pair of Brahms motets, “Es ist
das Heil uns kommen her” und “Schaffe
in mir, Gott, ein rein Herz”, Anton
Bruckner’s “Ave Maria” and “Virga
Jesse floruit” and Ralph Vaughan Williams’
Hodie
on 18th December 2009.
On 17th
April 2010, the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra presented Victoria
Borisova-Ollas’s “Wings of the Wind”,
Prokofiev’s “Vijfde symfonie in Bes, opus 100”, and Sergei
Rachmaninoff’s “Tweede pianoconcert in c, opus 18, with Denis Matsuev at the keys.
Eduard is also
a member of the International Society of Bassists.
