Borderies, Abbe Etienne Jean Francois (24th January 1764-29th March 1832)

He was a bishop born in Montauban, France.  Not too much is known about his earlier life but he as ordained as Bishop of Versailles, France, on the 29th July 1827.  From the little information there is available it has possible that he was exiled to England during the French Revolution.  He has been credited with adding three verses to the Latin version of John Francis Wade's "Adestes Fideles" in 1822, which is commonly known as "O Come All You Faithful" in its English translation.
