He is a bandleader, producer and singer-songwriter
born in Puerto
Rico. He was married to the singer Celi
Bee from the 1960s and in the early years they sang as a duo. In the 1970s Celi Bee became a solo
artist and he assembled a group of session musicians to become the Buzzy
Bunch who would be her backing group as well as performing with his own The
Rice and Beans Orchestra. He
has been a producer, performer and arranger for many bands and artists
including Gloria Estefan, Tatiana, and Amanti.
