Country music disc jockey at KHOS and KMOP in Tucson,
Arizona, who, like many in his profession, decided to branch out and take a
chance on a recording career of his own, releasing such forgettable numbers
as "One Thing in Common" and "When the Sun Goes Down". His original composition, "Sometimes
You Just Can't Win", has been recorded by Acetone, George
Jones, Linda Ronstadt and J.D. Souther, and Ernest Tubb
& The Texas Troubadours. He
was inducted into the Country Music DJ and Radio Hall of Fame in 2000, and
has also been inducted into the Country Legends Hall of Fame and the Texas
Country Music Disc Jockey Hall of Fame.
