He is a musician, songwriter and producer born in Chattanooga. He first worked as a session
musician appearing on albums by artists that included Hank Williams
Jr. He went on to write
Christian music and wrote chart hits such as "Reign on Me" for
Michele Pillar. He entered into
collaboration with the songwriters Terry Skinner and Ken Bell and together
they produced many chart hits including the No.1 hits "Touch Me When
We're Dancing" that was a success for The Carpenters and
Alabama, "Even the Nights Are Better" for Air Supply and
"Mama's Never Seen Those Eyes" for Forester Sisters.
