This group based in Modesto, California, got together in
1990s and currently consist of the drummer Rob Berthelson,
the guitarist Shawn Farris, the bassist Russ Allsup
and his uncle, the guitarist and ex-Three Dog Night member, Mike Allsup. Previos members have included the drummer Jeff Jackson.
Citing many musical influences from several genres of
music, they are regular performers in their local area as well as
nationwide and have gained a fan base where their followers have become
known as Dam Nation.
They have performed at several music festivals and in
the company of many other artists and groups during their time together and
a few of these include David Allan Coe, Foghat,
Green Jelly, Eddie Money, the Marshall Tucker Band, Michael Schenker, Pat Travers and UFO among many others.
Having a repertoire of more than 100 of their own songs,
they released their CD “A Place Called Home” in 2009 which they
recorded in Los Angeles
at Studio City Sound in 2008 with the Grammy Award winning producer Tom Weir. They have previously released the
CDs American Beauty and
2003’s DAM.
