This ensemble was established at the Kammerspiel
Theatre in Hamburg, Germany in 1993 and comprises the violinist Stephen
Morris, the cellist Robin Thompson-Clarke and the pianist Paul
Bateman.
After making their debut in London they were deluged
with offers to appear from all over the United Kingdom, Europe and the United
States and very soon they were being hailed as one of the UK’s “most
exciting chamber ensembles” and landing themselves a recording contract.
They have released two recordings to date, which are Kammerspiel
and Seven Last Words: The Ian Wilson Piano Trios.
They continue to give acclaimed performances
throughout the world from their huge repertoire and are regularly heard on
broadcasts by BBC Radio 3 and Classic FM.
