They were a duo that both came from musical families that
got together in the 1970s after they had met at Dartington Hall
School. They went their
separate ways to different higher education establishments and met up with
London a year or so later and formed the duo. Although they had thought of
lots of names for themselves they could not settle on one and so went for
their surnames instead. They saw success with the chart
singles "Dancing in the City" and "Coming Home" but the accompanying album Free
Ride was unsuccessful and they split up in 1980 with each going their
separate ways.
