This 10-piece band was active in the New York in the 1970s
and like others of this genre used a horn section in much of their music. Although
they did use vocals in some of their songs it was basically a band of
musicians who played a jazz-funk style of music with the music being seen
as more important than singing. Having several jazz performers appear as
guest artists, the band saw the accompaniment of the saxophone player,
David Sanborn, the guitarist Steve Khan, and trumpeter Jon Faddis on
several occasions. They
released a self-titled album that did not see success and the band broke up
before recording another.
