A group of country music background singers, joined together by Joe Babcock, who are perhaps best known for their accompaniment of Elvis Presley on his gospel albums, and for their twenty-two year stint on the television variety program Hee Haw. The Nashville Edition's discography includes work with a litany of country and pop stars including June Carter Cash, Elvis Costello, George Jones, Dolly Parton, Johnny Paycheck, Charley Pride, Charlie Rich (Behind Closed Doors), Terry Stafford ("Suspicion"), Nat Stuckey, Sylvia, Tanya Tucker ("Delta Dawn"), Bobby Vinton, Porter Wagoner, Gene Watson, and Tammy Wynette. Their numbers included Jackie Allen, Dolores Dinning Edgin (formerly of sibling sensations The Dinning Sisters, whose brother Mark scored a hit with "Teen Angel"), Jim Glaser, June ("Ricky") Page, Gene Price, Wendellyn Suits and Hurshel Wiginton.
