This Nashville session
string section headed by violinist Sheldon Kurland has worked with a litany
of country and western and pop artists including Johnny Cash, John Conlee, Rita
Coolidge, Donna Fargo, Crystal Gayle, Tom Jones, Kris Kristofferson, Ronnie
Milsap, The Oak Ridge Boys, Kenny Rogers, Conway Twitty, and Neil
Young. In 1981, when they
played on The Archers' first and last LP, Spreadin' Like
Wildfire, their ranks included George Binkley, John David Boyle, Marvin D.
Chantry, Roy Christensen, Conni L. Ellisor, Carl J. Gorodetzky, Lenni
Haight, Sheldon Kurland, Dennis W. Molchan, James R. Skipper, Samuel
Terranova, and Gary Vanasdale.
