     Alle Psallite

    (Anonymous)

This sacred motet was written in the 13th Century from c1250 and is part of the Montepellier texts, which are one of the six most important in their field.  It is one of the survivors from that period that hails from Southern France where "mot" in French is translated as "word" in English.  It is sung by a small ensemble of singers and accompanied by bells.
