    And I Love Her

    (John Lennon/Paul McCartney)

    Beatles Recordings

    Capitol, X-6283, X45039 (US 45)

This was released as a single on 20th July 1964 in the United States, with "If I Fell" on the B-Side,  and it reached No. 12 on the Billboard charts.  It is said that Paul McCartney was pleased with the idea of the song title beginning mid-sentence and it was one of the first to have done so.  John Lennon claimed that his contribution to the song was the "middle eight" section.  It appears on The Beatles album A Hard Day's Night.
