     Belle of the Ball

    (Leroy Anderson)

This song was written in 1951 after Leroy Anderson and his family had moved to Woodbury, Connecticut.   Leroy Anderson conducted the piece at its premiere, which was during the recording he made for Decca.  The "Belle" in the title is actually a double entendre as there is a bell played in the orchestra during the song.
