     Chi Mai

    This piece of music was originally written as part of the soundtrack for the 1971 Italian movie Maddalena and has since been used several times.  Recorded by the BBC with a date of 1978 on the 45 release it reached No. 2 in 1981 in the UK chart after it had become acclaimed as the theme for The Life and Times of David Lloyd George TV series.  It was later also used in the 1981 French film Le Professional.  It can be found on Ennio Morricone's album Chi Mai and on the soundtrack of Le Professional.
