    Christmas Carol, A - Suite

    (Richard Addinsell)

This was written from the soundtrack of the 1951 film version of Scrooge.  It was known as A Christmas Carol in the United States and starred Alistair Sim as Ebenezer Scrooge.  The music was reconstructed into a suite by Steven Bernstein, which is the version that is thought to appear on most, if not all, CD releases.  Included in the suite are a choral performance of "Hark the Herald Angels Sing", "Tiny Tim's Theme", Scrooge's accompanying music through time and a choral version of "Silent Night".  There is no known release of the original movie score.
