This piece was composed for four clarinets at
Woodbury, Connecticut, in 1962.Described as being in the "spirit of Bugler's Holiday" and a
"brilliant showcase", it has been performed by many clarinet soloists with
the most recent recording being by the British clarinettist, Emma Johnson
on her Voyage CD, which reached No. 3 in the UK classical chart.
