(Sydney
Crooks)

This
song was written in 1967 when Sydney Crooks was a member of the Jamaican
group The Pioneers. When he
came to record it he realised it needed an additional vocalist and so after
he had heard a young electrical welder sing outside the studio he decided
to take him on. The welder was
Jackie Robinson and together they took the song to No. 3 on the Jamaican
chart. It has since been
recording by several artists.
