(Keith Helliwell/Rob Mackenzie)
This song,
with lyrics by Keith Helliwell and music by Rob
Mackenzie, was influenced by the story of two children from Tyneside in
northeast England who were taken into care. The children were then split up by
the local Social Services department.
The children
grew up but never stopped looking for each other and remarkably they found
each other after 45 years of searching. The two of them proved that love
really can conquer all and got married, never to be parted again.
The song was
recorded by the Northeastern Sunrise and appears on their Expectation EP.
Many thanks to Keith Helliwell
for providing information on this song.
