(Harry Connick Jr./Ramsey McLean)
This song
written by Harry Connick Jr.
and Ramsey McLean was included on his 1994 album She which was recorded with a new band and a new sound that concentrated
more on the New Orleans rootsy music he would
have known when he was growing
up.
The song that
was originally performed on the album She
was nearly 5 minutes long but it was curtailed to around 3:20 when it was chosen for inclusion on the
1994 soundtrack of the popular Jim Carrey film The Mask. A year
later it appeared on the compilation album Hollywood Soundtracks.
Finding its
way onto the Billboard Hot 100 chart when it was released as a single it
reached No. 67, which is the only time Harry has appeared on that
particular chart.
