Bobby Sheridan & His Orchestra recordings
Contrast Recordings 7011-30A (US promo 45)
Pretty much what you would expect from the title, a
thinly-disguised advertisement for the city of Las Vegas, with its shows, slots,
and stars, performed by Bobby Sherwood and His Orchestra with his then-wife
Phyllis Dorne on vocals. Dorne
and Sherwood had their own Las Vegas lounge act at the time, so they knew
whereof they spoke. No
information on whether or not this became Sin City's theme song, but it's
worthy of consideration.
