This tune was arranged by the mandolin player Paul
Buskirk and appeared on his 1975 album Hot Pickin’. It was released as a single with
“Rustic Dance Scottische” on the flip side.
The piece of music sounds like it could have been an
arrangement of Arthur “Guitar Boogie” Smith’s famous “Guitar Boogie”, but
there is also a piece of music called “Paul’s Boogie” which was written by
Paul Williams & Gene Redd for saxophone and recorded by the Paul
Williams Sextette in 1950.
