    Rondena

    (Isaac Albeniz)

This is the first piece of music in Book 2 of the suite Iberia.  It is named after Ronda, which is a town in Andalusia, Spain, as well as a type of fandango which originates from that area.  The music is composed in two sections, starting out with powerful dance rhythms and moving into a more relaxed theme.
