Sonata in D (Sonata Zapateado), Op. 13

    (Mateo Albeniz)

Most probably written in the 18th century, this classical period piece of music, also called "Sonata Zapateado" was written for piano and is the most well known of Albeniz' compositions and still regularly performed today.  It has been described as containing "tangy melodic stresses" and the piece has been transcribed for both guitar and harp.
