    This song was written by the songwriting team McFadden & Whitehead and Victor Carstarphen.

     

    It was recorded by Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes for their 1975 album Wake Up Everybody   with the lead vocals performed by Teddy Pendergrass.  It was produced by Gamble & Huff and the song was arranged by Ronnie Baker of MFSB. 

     

    It was released on the Philadelphia International label as the B-Side of the single “Don’t Leave Me This Way” which charted at No. 5 on the UK chart and No. 13 in Sweden in 1977.

     

    The song also appears on the Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes album Blue Notes and Ballads.
