    Turn It On Again

    (Tony Banks/Phil Collins/Mike Rutherford)

    Genesis

    (Charisma CB 356)(French 45)

The song is about a man who does nothing except watch television and becomes obsessed to the point he believes the people he sees on it are his friends.  Recorded in 1980, this reached No. 8 in the British chart and was Genesis' second Top 10 hit in the UK. It was apparently revealed on the US radio show In the Studio with Redbeard to have an unconventional time signature of 13/8.  It appears on the Genesis 1980 album "Duke".  The 2007 Genesis tour has been named the Turn it on Again tour.
