Wells, Tony

Background vocalist who appeared on a number of albums in the ‘70s, including Dean Friedman’s eponymous debut, Ralph MacDonald’s The Path, and Frank Sinatra’s Trilogy.  He joined forces with MacDonald again for 1984’s Universal Rhythm.

Other artists he is credited for working with include Maynard Ferguson, Dennis Parker, Duke Pearson, Jerry Ross, and Livingston Taylor.  He also appears on the soundtrack of The Wiz.
