Bilksi, Page Smith

She is a cellist who studied at the University of Southern California and the University of Washington and when she resided in New York was a member of the Chelsea Chamber Ensemble and Principal Cellist with the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra.

In Seattle she became Principal Cellist with the Pacific Northwest Ballet Orchestra and the Auburn Symphony and has given performances with the Seattle Symphony and the Seattle Opera.

As a chamber musician she toured and performed as Principal Cellist with the Aspen Chamber Symphony for four summers at venues such as the Kennedy Center’s Festival of Festivals and the Lincoln Center’s Mostly Mozart Festival.  She is heard regularly performing with the Mostly Nordic series, the NWCO’s Showcase Chamber Music series and the Second City Chamber Music series.

As a soloist she has performed with many orchestras and ensembles that include the Auburn Symphony, Choral Arts Northwest, the Federal Way Symphony, the Northwest Chamber Orchestra, Opus 7, Seattle Pro Musica, The Seattle String Quartet and the The Tudor Choir.

Recordings she has performed on are many and include Cathedral Anthems and Randall Thompson: The Light of the Stars by Choral Arts Northwest, Spirals by Scott Cossu, Ballad Stories by Hilary Field, Wingless Angel by Lynn Maas, Whores & Fishermen by Erin McNamee, Philip Glass: Piano Concerto No. 2 After Lewis and Clark/Concerto for Harpsichord and Orchestra by the Northwest Chamber Orchestra, Wayne Horvitz: These Hills of Glory by the Northwest Sinfonia, Michael Miropolsky: The Chamber Symphony by the Seattle Chamber Orchestra, Salut D’Amoure and Capriccios by Seattle’s Violin Virtuosi and Mary’s Garden by Linda Waterfall along with Les Amoureux De L’Orgue and Howard Fankhauser: The Cathedral Tenor.
