Founded by Joseph Flummerfelt in the 1970s, this is a professional chorus who often perform alongside the New York Philharmonic.

They participated in the 50th anniversary celebrations of the United Nations and took part in the televised broadcast of the Statue of Liberty Concert in Central Park in 1986.

In more recent years they have appeared in performances of Brahms’ Ein Deutsche Requiem, Michael Tippett’s A Child of Our Time and Ravel’s L’enfant et les sortileges and have featured in more than 45 recordings including the Grammy Award winners Mahler’s Symphony No. 3 and John Adams’ On the Transmigration of Souls.
