Norklit, Mats (7th March 1946-Present)

He is a lyricist and composer born in Malmo,Sweden, who is the brother of Mona Norklit who is the composer Benny Andersson’s wife.  He was a musician on the jazz circuit from 1966 to 1983.

Writing several songs in collaboration with Benny they have appeared on his 1987 album Klinga Meiner Klocker and since then Anna Sofie von Otter has featured their song “After the Rain” on her CD I Let the Music Speak.

In 1989 he composed the music for the 1989 Swedish film Resan till Melonia, which was based on Shakespeare’s The Tempest.

Around 2017-18 he published the book Rimely and Socially Out which is a book of stories and verses which he published every week on Facebook.
