Foxx, Leigh

He is a bass guitarist and songwriter born in the United States who started playing the bass guitar in the 1960s and joined The Sidewinders in the early 1970s.  This was the beginning of a recording career that has seen him appearing on albums by artists that include the Paley Brothers, Randy Van Warmer, Franke & The Knockouts, Deborah Harry , Cyndi Lauper, Iggy Pop and as a touring musician he has been seen in concert with Yoko Ono, Scandal, Tom Rush and the Patti Smith Group among many others.

He became a member of Blondie after they had regrouped in the mid ’90s, although he had been appearing on Debbie Harry’s albums since 1988, and still appears and records with them on a regular basis.

He was inducted as a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2006 as a member of Blondie .
