He is a violinist, composer and teacher born in the United States, who began his formal violin lessons when his mother took him to a teacher when he was eight years old.
Seeing the New York Philharmonic on the television influenced him to think about a career in music and he went on to attend Alberta’s Banff School of Fine Arts in Canada in the summer for a period of five years. He would later gain his Canadian citizenship in 1994.
Interested in orchestral and chamber music, he became a member of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra with whom he has performed in countless concerts and recordings. He has also recorded and toured internationally as a member of the ensemble the Bach Consort and appeared in the 2007 “Bach Finds Happiness” as part of the Academy Concert Series. Another ensemble he has performed with is the Amici Strings who are a chamber ensemble put together by Joaquin Valdepenas of the Toronto Symphony.
Outside of his career with the Toronto Symphony he has worked with several media companies and choreographers.
As a composer he has written works such as the Japanese inspired “Soul Map” and his music has been performed in several Canadian cities and Japan.
