She is a violinist and keyboard player who formed the Amuni Nacer y su Jazz Quartet.
In the 1970s she was made a member of the Buzzy Bunch, by the bandleader and songwriter Pepe Luis Soto, who were the backing group for Celi Bee.
In the 80s and early 90s, she performed with Afro-Caribbean jazz ensemble Batacumbele and she appeared with Paquito D’Rivera and Dizzy Gillespie on Giovanni Hidalgo’s Villa Hidalgoalbum. She has been the music director for Puerto Rican siren Ednita Nazario since 1992 and has performed at Carnegie Hall with her and Danny Rivera. She has been the president of Amuni Music since 1990.
