Narducci, Daniel

He is a baritone born in the United States who took his musical studies at the Jacob School of Music at Indiana University.

After venturing out in his professional career as a singer he made his debut with Erich Kunzeland the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra. He performed with them again when the orchestra appeared at Beijing’s Great Hall of the People.

A regular opera and operetta/musical performer some of the roles he has played include Escamillo in Bizet’s Carmen, Belcore in L’Elisir d’amore by Donizetti, Mercutio in Romeo et Juiliette by Gounod, Guglielmo and Count Almaviva in Mozart’s Cosi Fan Tutte and The Marriage of Figaro respectively as well as Marcello in La Boheme and Sharpless in Madama Butterfly both by Puccini. These performances along with others in the musicals/operettas Iolanthe, The Merry Widow Rose Marie and Sweeney Todd have been with opera companies in many American cities such as Chatauqua, Central City, Cleveland, Fresno, Indianapolis, Nashville, New Orleans, Palm Beach and Washington among others.

He has featured in many stage and television productions including two national tours of Camelot where he played Lancelot and appearing in Germany in the Cats 10^th Anniversary production in Hamburg where he played Old Deuteronomy. He was also in the BBC’s documentary Kurt Weill in America: I’m a Stranger Here Myself where he made an appearance with Judy Kaye and the PBS broadcast Pops at the Phil: A Century of Broadway where he performed with the Naples Philharmonic and Frederica von Stade.

During the course of his successful career to date he has appeared on national and international stages with major orchestras that have included the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, Boston Pops Orchestra, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the Cleveland Orchestra, the Detroit Symphony, the Houston Symphony, the Mississippi Symphony Orchestra, the Philadelphia Orchestra, Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra and the Toronto Symphony among others. He has also made guest appearances at several music festivals in the United States.

No stranger to the studio, some of his recordings include his own Christmas Once More and Timeless Broadway along with the complete recordings of Linda Eder and the world premiere recording of Peter Pan by Leonard Bernstein,

Recently he appeared with the Collegiate Chorale at the Alice Tully Hall in New York City for An Evening of American Operetta and in March 2011 he appeared in concert with the pianist Scott Woolley in Heroes to Villains: From Broadway to Hollywood. He has also appeared with his wife who is the soprano Heather Narducci.
