Nunley, Chris

Drummer, harmonica player, percussionist and singer who was one of the founding members of The Royal Guardsmen.  It is his voice you hear at the beginning of “Snoopy vs. the Red Baron” speaking in German.  He also sang the B side, “I Needed You”.

A gifted mimic, he would frequently imitate Eric Burdon and Mick Jagger on live cover versions of their songs.

When The Royal Guardsmen reunited in October 2004, they all went to Chris’s house to practice.  Chris has been a member of the band Crossfire with fellow Guardsmen Bill Balogh, Rick Cosner and Pat Waddell for over twenty years.  No telling how long that will last, as The Royal Guardsmen have been getting gigs again.  They played the Savannah Center in The Villages, Florida, on 2nd July 2007 and continue a Florida tour until they hit the high seas for a cruise booking in January 2008.
