Park, Mi-Young (1949-Present)

She is a violinist born in Seoul, South Korea who began playing at 7 years old and after winning several prizes in her native country travelled to the USA in 1963 as a full-scholarship student of Efrem Zimablist at the Curtis Institute of Music during the 1960s.

Her musical career has seen her performing as a recitalist with her sister, the pianist Pong-Hi Park, in venues that include Carnegie Recital Hall, and as a soloist and member of the Concerto Soloists Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia.

She has also performed at various festivals such as Laurel Festival, often with her sister, and performed on operatic productions such as Dialogues des Carmelites staged by the Temple University Opera Theater in 2004.

In 1991 she married Marc Mostovoy, who is the founder of the Concerto Soloists which became the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia. She retired in 2005.
