Rammon, Andrew

He is a cellist born in Las Vegas to a musical family, who grew up in Mainz, Germany.  He studied at the Frankfurter Musizkschole and after returning to the USA his continued education was at the Cleveland School of Music and Pepperdine University in Malibu, California.

Quickly gaining acclaim, he was often called upon as principal cellist and has performed in many countries in Europe with festival orchestras led by conductors that included Michael Tilson Thomas and Charles Dutoit, as well as with the Bloomsburg University Orchestra and Southwest Symphony.

In 2000 he became principal cellist for the Williamsport Symphony Orchestra and in 2004 broke sales and attendance records when he accompanied them in “First Cello Concerto” by Dmitri Shostakovich.

He has also been a member of the Eaken Piano Trio based in Pennsylvania, which came about after he had appeared with them as a guest performer in 2001.

As solo artist he has also appeared on the “Come With Me” video by Jimmie Page and Puff Daddy, and in the movies has been seen in Amistad and had his work heard on Godzilla.

In the world of education he has been on the faculties of Buckell, Mansfield and Susquehann Universities and Lycoming College in Pennsylvania.

He performs here on instrumental version of “Come By Me” by Jimmy Page and Puff Daddy from the Godzilla soundtrack…
