Scott, June

She is a flautist born in Perth, Scotland who attended the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama where she undertook her studies in flute.

In 1978 she was a soloist with the Perth Youth Orchestra and around 1984 she was invited to join the Scottish Chamber Orchestra.  She performed with them for three years before moving to London’s Philharmonia Orchestra where she joined them as Second Flute.

During the course of her career to date she has appeared as a guest musician with several other orchestras that include The Academy of St. Martin in the Fields, the London Philharmonic Orchestra, the London Symphony Orchestra and the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House.

Recordings she has appeared on include Out of Russia – Gidon Kremer and the soundtracks/cast recordings of Big Country, Lawrence of Arabia and Les Miserables: The Complete Symphonic Recording by the Philharmonia Orchestra.
