Sheen, Colin

He is a trombonist and sackbut player born in England who grew up in Horsham, England.

After beginning his professional career he joined the Birmingham based BBC Midland Light Orchestra as a trombonist.  He has since performed with the Philip Jones Brass Ensemble, the Locke Brass Consort, the London Brass, the Bach Choir, the Albion Country Band and the English Chamber Ensemble among others, popular groups such as The Art of Noise and Spiritualized, and solo artists that include John Barrowman, Dame Kiri te Kanawa, George Shearing and Ana Belen.

Appearing on numerous recordings and TV and movie soundtracks he can be heard on Festive Brass and Baroque Brass with the Philip Jones Brass Ensemble, Silver Strings Autumn Leaves by the London Starlight Dance Orchestra, Very Best of the Don Lusher Big Band, The London Trombone Sound, Henry Purcell: Music for the Funeral of Queen Mary, Essentially Christmas, Amaranth by Shirley Collins, Christmas with the London Brass, Girl with the Pearl Earring, Irving Berrlin’s White Christmas, Five Guys Named Moe, Jeeves and Wooster, and Inspector Morse Vol. 3.
