Smith, Robin

Arranger, composer, conductor, and producer who played keyboards on The Pasadenas’ 1988 album, To Whom it May Concern. He produced Jean Bosco Safari’s 1993 CD, The Romantic Heroes. In 1996, he arranged and conducted the music on Mike Oldfield’s Voyager. He conducted and played keyboards at the world premiere of Mike’s Tubular Bells III on 4th September 1998, in London, England.

In 1999, he arranged, composed and conducted music for, played guitar and keyboards on, and produced Andrea Bocelli’s Sogno. He arranged, conducted and orchestrated music for Michael Ball’s Stage and Screen in 2001. In 2002, he reunited with Andrea, arranging, conducting, playing guitar and keyboards, and producing Cieli di Toscana, as well as wearing multiple hats on Filippa Giordano’s recording, Rosso Amore.

He wrote the arrangements for a pair of Patrizio Buanne albums, L’Italiano and Mondo, in 2005. In 2006, he conducted the London Symphony Orchestra on The Christmas Album, by Robert Alagna, arranged and conducted music on Forever Begins Tonight, by Patrizio Buanne, and the video game, Final Fantasy XII. He served as music director, percussionist and programmer on Roberto Alagna’s 2007 effort, Credo: Airs Sacres.
