Twigg, Gary

He is a bass player and guitarist nicknamed “Twiggy” born in Stratford-upon-Avon, England who has worked with many major artists, starting from the late 1970s with the Marshall-Hain Band, often on a 5-string bass.

During the 1980s he worked with acts that include Tony Ashton, Graham Bonnet, Roger Chapman, Kiki Dee, Barbara Dickson, Chris Farlowe, Peter Murphy, Sally Oldfield, Cozy Powell, Francis Rossi, Linda Thompson, Kim Wilde and Peter York.

In 1992 he became a member of The Shortlist who he still performs with today and also during the 1990s he was a member of the reformed Spencer Davis Group.

Appearing in the movies he was seen playing bass in the 1990 movie Paper Mask.

During his career he has appeared on numerous albums that include Cascade by Peter Murphy, In My Own Time and Turn Unstoned? by Roger Chapman, Some People by Belouis Some, Perfect Timing by Kiki Dee, One Clear Moment and Dreams Fly Away by Linda Thompson, I Hear Talk by Bucks Fizz, Line Up by Graham Bonnet, Playing in the Flame by Sally Oldfield and Teases & Dares by Kim Wilde.
