Zimmerman, Tim

He is a trumpeter, teacher and music director who studied at the Peabody Conservatory of Music in Baltimore, Maryland.

Appearing as a soloist and ensemble member he has been heard with the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra and the Fort Wayne Philharmonic.

He is the founder and music director of the King’s Brass ensemble, established in the 1980s, whose repertoire of sacred brass music covers pieces from the Baroque period to present day in formats that range from classical to jazz.

Performing on several recordings he has featured on 10 CDs with the King’s Brass Ensemble such as Classic Hymns, Steadfast and The Best of Brass and Organ.

In the world of musical education he has been Chairman of the Music Department and Artist-in-Residence at Grace College, Indiana, and as of 2007 he took the position of Artist-in-Residence at Taylor University, Indiana.
