He is a songwriter born in Florence, Alabama, who has had many songs recorded since 1980 including the hits “Old Flame” by Alabama, “Say What’s in Your Heart” by Restless Heart and “Stand a Little Rain” by Nitty Gritty Dirt Band.
He also studies fish science as an ichthyologist.
