Concerto in G Major for Flute No. 161 QV 5 No. 174 (Quantz)

Concerto for flute and orchestra by the Baroque composer Johann Joachim Quantz which was written sometime after 1741, possibly ca1745, in Berlin, Germany.

The piece has three movements which are:

  1. Allegro
  2. Arioso, Mesto
  3. Presto

The concerto has been performed and recorded by various chamber orchestras and these recordings include Quantz: Flotenkonzerte by the Dresden Chamber Soloists, Flute Concertos at Sansoucci and The Flute King by the Potsdam Chamber Academy and Die Flote am Koniglichen Hof by the Prague Chamber Orchestra.
