You’re My Peace of Mind

This song was written by Van McCoy in the mid-1970s and recorded by the trio Faith, Hope & Charity in 1975 and released in the UK in 1976.  It appears on Faith, Hope & Charity’s album Life Goes On which issued the song as a 7″ with a cover of  “Rescue Me” on the B-Side as well as a 12″ version.  It reached No. 13 on the US Dance chart and No. 83 on the US R&B chart.

It was also recorded by the singer David Ruffin who included it on his 1977 album In My Stride.  His release of the single reached No. 71 on the US R&B chart.
