Faulconer, Sally

She is an oboist, English horn player and teacher who  was 2nd Oboe and English horn from 1982 to 1985 in La Orquesta Sinfonica de Maracaibo in Venezuela before becoming a Professor of Oboe in 1988 at the University of Oklahoma,

She has appeared at Carnegie Hall as a member of the Oklahoma Woodwind Quintet as well as recording their CD A Christmas Delight.

She has also appeared with the University of Oklahoma’s New Century Ensemble and Tres Maderas, and as a soloist at the 26th International Double Reed Society Conference held at the Northwestern University in 1997.

As a teacher she has been on the faculty of the University of Oklahoma and given private tuition.  She retired in 2004 and her and her husband James Faulconer run the children’s educational program All Aboard!
