DiSimone, Kevin

He is a keyboardist, trumpeter, horn player and singer-songwriter who became a member of the rock quartet Big Ric in 1982.

They disbanded after one album and he moved to work with numerous artists and groups and can be seen on albums by Barry Manilow, Longhouse, CFM Band, Jazzhole, Carly Simon, Bob James, The Accidentals and Four Play among others.

He has also appeared in live performance with several of the above and others that include Bette Midler and Dave Grusin.

He teamed up with the drummer Jeff Hirshfield and the bass player Scott Colley to form The Kevin DiSimone Trio and together they released their self-titled CD.  He also released an album with the singer Annette Saunders called Let’s Get Lost.

Often being heard as a vocalist on recordings in either a lead or backing role he has appeared on albums as wide ranging as the Glenn Miller Orchestra’s In the Christmas Mood, David Grusin’s West Side Story and Four Play’s X.

As a songwriter he has written works, either in collaboration or alone, for acts including Sam and Dave, Big Ric, Barry Manilow and Ray Goodman & Brown.
