I thought this was an ABC so I was looking for your L? :D How about: Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds by The Beatles composed by Lennon & McCartney also sung by Elton John I think that I can stand Mr. Taupin for quite a while and there is one Mr. Esquire who is an officionado on him, who I'm sure ...

It really is amazing....

I didn't realise how Mozart was used in jazz and bluegrass until recently. It seems Mr. Mozart can be found everywhere. I wonder if like Leonardo da Vinci and his amazing drawings about future engineering, science and anatomy uses, Mozart had visions of future uses for his music. I can just see the ...

Thanks...

I was driving home from the hospital last night and the song by Rodney Atkins came on. It just seemed to fit the mood, so I posted it as soon as I got home. Also, there are so many obscure song lyrics out there, I thought it would give everyone a chance to post some fun but not really known ones. I'...

I Am Your Robot by Elton John

Words by Bernard Taupin and music by Elton John. I'm on a Bernie mission as you can see. We may be getting pretty tired of Mr. Taupin soon. :D You're welcome. I really like the Roberta Flack version of Killing Me Softly. It's been redone a few times, but no one ever came close to her breathless, sou...

This thread is for when you hear a song and you feel like it's something you want to share. It's also when you hear something which tells what you are feeling at the time, or mainly it's just because you feel like posting something! It's a shame how credit isn't given many times...

I guess because if you're long gone from this world, how can you object to not being given credit? It's a shame, but it seems normal to have that happen. I can't wait for your composers to start appearing, but you take care of that cold before you start the massive composer listing.

Song Association...

We all know how this works. It's ABC style using names of songs and who they are by. Make it interesting by looking up obscure names and artists, but any kind of song is welcome. If somone posts at the same time as you, don't delete the song. Just edit it out. I'll start the first 2 or 3 and then we...

Re: I think you mean....

.....the classical composers as I have already listed many composers of other things. Mozart did die very young but left over 700 works for us. He was an interesting character, believe me, and quite a moody kind of critter from what I can make out. I have over 20 pages of Mozart to sort out so plea...

I was talking to Fiona earlier about a group from near London who made it big in the last year or so. Their initial album was recorded in a disused mini-cab office! When they were approached by a record label, they chose to re-record the album in the same mini-cab office to "maintain their uni...

Mozart and his life...

Mozart is such an interesting composer in my opinion. I didn't realise he had died at the age of only 35 when looking at the many works he had done. What a young age to pass away! I wonder if he knew exactly how much interest and joy his works would give to people later on in the future. I can't wai...

It's really interesting how and where songs are written...

I've found out two of my favorite songs were written while people were drunk or in a bedroom. You have to wonder if those songs would have been written if circumstances were different. I like the list. I just can't wait until you get the classical composers going and of course the Eagles. Although a...
