With apologies to Tim McGraw for changing a couple of words. Boy, she's growing up too fast. Her first crush before Christmas, picking the right high school is happening now and applying for a special college scholar program. Where does the time go and why can't we keep them little forever?? *sigh* ...

You said the way my blue eyes shined,

I love this song. By Taylor Swift You said the way my blue eyes shined, Put those Gorgia stars to shame that night I said "thats a lie" Just a boy in a Chevy truck, That had a tendency of gettin' stuck, On back roads at night And i was right there beside him all summer long And then the ti...

Key Largo by Bertie Higgins...You played the trumpet?

One of the men (and, I think, one of the songs) that inspired me to learn to play the trumpet. I just wish I could play half as well as Mr Hirt. Another hidden talent being admitted to. :P I remember as a teenager going to see Al Hirt play in the French Quarter in New Orleans. He and Pete Fountain ...

It really is amazing....

I didn't realise how Mozart was used in jazz and bluegrass until recently. It seems Mr. Mozart can be found everywhere. I wonder if like Leonardo da Vinci and his amazing drawings about future engineering, science and anatomy uses, Mozart had visions of future uses for his music. I can just see the ...

Thanks...

I was driving home from the hospital last night and the song by Rodney Atkins came on. It just seemed to fit the mood, so I posted it as soon as I got home. Also, there are so many obscure song lyrics out there, I thought it would give everyone a chance to post some fun but not really known ones. I'...

I Am Your Robot by Elton John

Words by Bernard Taupin and music by Elton John. I'm on a Bernie mission as you can see. We may be getting pretty tired of Mr. Taupin soon. :D You're welcome. I really like the Roberta Flack version of Killing Me Softly. It's been redone a few times, but no one ever came close to her breathless, sou...

It's a shame how credit isn't given many times...

I guess because if you're long gone from this world, how can you object to not being given credit? It's a shame, but it seems normal to have that happen. I can't wait for your composers to start appearing, but you take care of that cold before you start the massive composer listing.
